Motor Evaluation method and scientifically validated Virtual Rehabilitation, which facilitates the recovery process of patients with sequelae caused by brain damage acquire

Who is our audience

We aim at patients with neurological problems affectations in motor, cognitive or language areas , resulting from acquired brain damage , as well as family members and caregivers of these patients . It is also aimed at professional groups linked to this type of patients , such as health professionals, medical researchers, rehabilitation and physiotherapy clinics and day centers and nursing homes .

Why Neurobia Research

Rehabilitation process at home in less time and from the first mnuto .
objective assessment of the improvement process .
permanent and updated information of the rehabilitation process.
Increased patient motivation via Mechanical Games .
Controlled incorporation of family in the rehabilitation process .
economic and simple solution objectively .
Capacity increased volume of revenue from clinics and professionals, without affecting its cost structure.
Access Evaluation tool for quantitatively value of effective treatments and pharmaceutical products designed for motor disorders .

More than a decade of research aimed at developing methods based Neuro- Rehabilitation obtained by 3D kinematic motion sensors (like Kinect ) .

Merging professionals Mathematics and Neurology provided quantitative assessment instrument , extended with a line of video games based on kinematics .

The last phase was the written definition Diagnostic Module and useful technological rehabilitation and checks them through mathematical codes.

Validated diagnostic method

Quantitative evaluation system parameters Neurobia Research are based on standardized motor assessment scales internationally accepted as the International Cooperative Ataxia Rating Scale ( ICARS ) and the Unified Parkinson ‘s disease rating scale ( UPDRS ) .

Our parameters have been matched and validated with respect to such scales in dozens of patients evaluated with the method.

The calculation of the quantitative parameters of the assessment is based on its own mathematical algorithms , the reliability and stability has also been demonstrated in these investigations.

Mathematical method applied development

Kinect provides a steady stream of data relevant body points (nodes ) that tell us about the patient’s movements : trajectory , velocity, acceleration .

These data can be used to compare the regularity of repeated maneuver or to detect sudden movements or tremors ( existence of pathologies ) .

Our algorithms , involving various branches of mathematics, have been developed in collaboration with professionals Neuro – Rehabilitation and tested in multiple patient samples.
